  • 1/2 cupof green onions
  • 1/7 cupof garlic
  • 1/5 cupof chopped ginger
  • 1/2 cupof cube bean curd
  • 1/3 cupof string beans
  • 1/2 cupof hot bean paste
  • 1/3 cupof hoisin sauce
  • 1/10 cupof sesame oil
  • 1/7 cupof shaoxing wine
  • 3 cupsof cubed pork belly
  • 1/5 cupof cornstarch
  • 1/5 cupof cold water


  1. First, chop some green onions and mince 2 garlic cloves. Add them to a bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of chopped ginger, cut cubes of bean curd. Next, slice a handful of string beans diagonally and cucumbers into another bowl.

  2. To make a sauce, mix hot bean paste, 1/3 cup of hoisin sauce, sesame oil and shaoxing wine.

  3. Take a pan and cook your cubed pork belly for 5 minutes until some the fat has rendered out. Next, remove pork belly and set aside. Leave the pork belly fat in a pan. Add your chopped green onions and fry for a while. Then, return the pork belly back into a pan. Stir. Add cubed pressed bean curd and sauce. Mix evenly. Add some liquid, bring sauce to a boil. Then, cover and let it simmer for about 40 minutes. Add in 1:1 mixture of cornstarch and cold water. Garnish with string beans and cucumbers.
