Sweet Potato Biscuits

  • 2 cupsof flour
  • 1/20 cupof salt
  • 1/4 cupof baking powder
  • 1 cupof cold butter
  • 1 cupof butter milk
  • 1 cupof sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cupof fried bacon


  1. Firstly, mix all dry ingredients - flour, salt, and baking powder. Add cold butter and mix everything thoroughly. You can use your hands or blender in order to mix everything.

  2. Next, you need to add wet ingredients, which are butter milk and sweet potatoes. They two are cold. Gently mix all together. When it comes together, you can stop. You do not need to overwork with it. If the mixture is too dry, you can add more butter milk.

  3. Put a little bit of flour on the table and put the dough on it. Make a nice and even square from the dough. Take a soft butter and spread it on top of dough. Flip it over two times. Cut the dough into small biscuits and put them on the oven pan. Put the melted butter on top of the biscuits. Bake them for 10 minutes.

  4. Take cooked biscuits and flip them into two halves. Put the butter and fried bacon between them. Enjoy!
