Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 cupsof parboiled white rice
  • 1 cupof raw white shrimp
  • 1 cupof sliced sausages
  • 1/6 cupof red onion
  • 1/2 cupof red pepper
  • 1/8 cupof garlic
  • 1 cupof diced tomatoes
  • 1 cupof chicken broth
  • 1/2 cupof extra virgin oil
  • 1/10 cupof curry
  • 1/10 cupof black pepper
  • 1/10 cupof chopped onion
  • 1/10 cupof thyme
  • 1/10 cupof salt
  • 1/10 cupof Maggi

Instructions

  1. Boil 8 cups of water.

  2. Add rice and bring it to boil for 6 minutes.

  3. Drain it and set aside.

  4. Blend onion, garlic, diced tomatoes and red pepper.

  5. Pour 1/2 olive oil and boil over medium-high heat.

  6. Add the blended onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, red bell pepper, into the pan and simmer for 15 minutes.

  7. Pour in chicken broth.

  8. Add in shrimp and sausage and cook for 2 minutes.

  9. Add pre-cooked rice.

  10. Cover, and bring to a boil for 8 minutes.

  11. Serve in dish over iced tea or drink of your choice.
