  • 4 cupsof rice
  • 8 cupsof water
  • 3 cupsof potatoes
  • 1 cupof rough salt
  • 1/10 cupof yellow food coloring
  • 1/3 cupof cinnamon sticks
  • 1/15 cupof elachie pods
  • 1/5 cupof anisettes
  • 1 cupof lentils
  • 10 cupsof mutton meat
  • 1/3 cupof curry powder
  • 1/3 cupof turmeric powder
  • 1/10 cupof dhania powder
  • 1/10 cupof jeera powder
  • 1/15 cupof bay leaves
  • 1/5 cupof ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 cupof thyme
  • 1 cupof dhania
  • 1 cupof mint
  • 1 1/2 cupsof cooking oil
  • 1/2 cupof onions
  • 1/10 cupof jeera seeds
  • 1 1/4 cupof yogurt


  1. Add four cups of rice to a large pot. Add three cinnamon sticks, four elachie pods, three anisettes and two tablespoons rough salt and eight cups of water and bring the pot to a boil. After your rice is boiled, strain it. Add yellow food coloring and stir.

  2. Cut six medium size potatoes and add food coloring. Fry your potatoes until cooked.

  3. Boil one cup of lentils until soft.

  4. Take your meat and add four tablespoons of curry powder, two tablespoons of turmeric powder, one tablespoon of dhania powder and one tablespoon of jeera powder. Moreover, add three cinnamon sticks, four bay leaves, two tablespoons of ginger and garlic paste and half a punch of thyme. Chop a half punch of dhania and half punch of mint and add them to the meat. Add one and a half cups of cooking oil and stir. Then add one chopped onion and one table spoon of jeera seeds and mix together. Next, add three teaspoons of rough salt and stir again. Add 250 ml of yogurt and mix the ingredients. Leave the mixture for 30 to 60 minutes before cooking.

  5. Add the mixture to a pot and cook the meat until it is soft. When the meat is almost cooked, add one cup of lentils. Next, add the cooked rice and stir well. Now, add your potatoes and garnish with dhania.
