- 2 cupsof self-raising wheat flour
- 2 cupsof wheat semolina
- 1/20 cupof instant yeast
- 2 cupsof hot water
- 3 cupsof sugar
- 3/4 cupof eggs
- 1/2 cupof melted butter
- 1/5 cupof baking powder
Add two cups of self-raising wheat flour and two cups of wheat semolina to a bowl and mix together.
In a separate bowl mix 10 grams of instant yeast mixed with one cup of hot water and one teaspoon of sugar. Now add the mixture to semolina and self raising flour and mix well. Add a little water at a time and mix. Continue adding a little water at a time and mixing until a thick paste is formed. Seal the mixture in an airtight container and store for 12 hours.
Fill your idly pot with water and bring to a boil.
Take a separate bowl and mix three eggs, 125 grams of melted butter and two and a half cups of sugar. Add this mixture to the one that has been kept for 12 hours and stir together well. Add two teaspoons of baking powder. Add this mixture to a food processor for two minutes until smooth. Add the mixture to an idly pot, cover it and leave for 10 minutes. Sprinkle your idly cakes with coconut powder.
