- 1 cupof tomato paste
- 1 cupof crushed tomatoes
- 1/10 cupof olive oil
- 1/5 cupof dried Italian seasoning
- 1/20 cupof salt
- 1/30 cupof pepper
- 1/20 cupof sugar
- 2 cupsof pizza dough
- 2 cupsof shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cupof pepperoni slices
In a medium saucepan, add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, dried Italian seasoning, salt, olive oil, pepper and sugar and cook over medium heat until it starts to sputter. Turn to low and let it simmer while you prepare the dough.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch thickness. Using a mini heart cookie cutter, cut the pepperoni, to make heart cut outs.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Using the heart cookie cutter, cut out 4 to 6 heart shapes from the dough. Place the dough on parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes. Place 1-2 tablespoons of sauce you made on each pizza. Next, add some shredded mozzarella cheese. Add the pepperoni heart pieces. Bake in an oven for about 6 to 10 minutes.
