Classic Strawberry Shortcake

  • 1/4 cupof butter
  • 2 cupof self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cupof sugar
  • 1/2 cupof heavy cream
  • 1/2 cupof whole milk
  • 1 cupof cut strawberries


  1. Melt you unsalted butter over medium heat and toast to a golden brown.

  2. Take a mixing bowl and add your self-rising flour, sugar, whole milk, heavy cream and toasted butter.

  3. Mix the ingredients with a spoon.

  4. Form an appropriate piece and cut it into pieces.

  5. Put the pieces on a pan and brush the top with some heavy cream and sugar.

  6. Bake at 425 degrees F for about 15-18 minutes or until browned.

  7. Take a bowl and add your strawberries and sugar.

  8. Mix the ingredients well and put in a fridge for about an hour.

  9. Now, cut your cakes into halves and put the strawberries inside. Top with heavy cream. Enjoy!
