Chinese Boiled Chicken and Chicken Broth

  • 10 cupof chicken
  • 1/5 cupof faspas
  • 1/30 cupof star anise
  • 1/5 cupof onions
  • 1/5 cupof garlic
  • 1/5 cupof ginger
  • 1/7 cupof salt
  • 1 cupof organic gluten free sauce
  • 1/2 cupof chopped scallions
  • 1/4 cupof chopped cilantro
  • 1/10 cupof chopped cardamom
  • 1/30 cupof basil
  • 1/10 cupof lime juice


  1. Take a big pot and put some water in there. Add your chicken. Next, add a teaspoon of faspas, one star anise, some smashed garlic (4 cloves) and some peeled ginger. Add a little bit of salt. Put the pot on a high boil for around an hour.

  2. To make the sauce, take a bowl and add one cup of organic gluten free sauce, a little bit of onion juice, ginger juice and garlic juice. Add chopped scallions and chopped cilantro. Let the sauce infuse for a little while (around 20 minutes).

  3. Fish out some broth from a chicken pot and add it into a small bowl. Add some chopped cardamom, chopped cilantro, chopped basil, salt and lime juice.

  4. Put some chicken on your plate and cover it with your sauce. Enjoy!
