Cheesy Star

  • 2 cupsof russet potatoes
  • 1 cupof shredded cheese
  • 1/10 cupof salt
  • 1/10 cupof black pepper
  • 1/10 cupof pepper


  1. Carefully peel the potatoes. Then, shred the potatoes into a bowl with cold water. Be sure to remove the starch. Then, drain the potatoes on a bed of paper towels. Add shredded cheese to the potatoes. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix everything well. Be sure that cheese is evenly distributed.

  2. Add butter or oil to the pan of medium heat. Place star cookie cutter on the pan. Add the mixture with potatoes and cheese into the star and pack it tightly.

  3. When you are ready to flip, remove the cutter and flip the star carefully. Decorate the star with cheese. Enjoy!
