- 2 cupsof dough
- 2 cupsof prepared filling
- 1/4 cupof egg wash
- 1 cupof marinara sauce
Roll out dough into approximately 10" circle on a floured surface or on a pizza paddle.
Spread the filling onto one half of the circle and leave 1" on the edge. Brush an egg wash (whisked egg and water) around the edge.
Fold it over and pinch the edges shut. You can use the tines of a folk to further pinch the edges together. Brush it with an egg wash for more color.
Slide onto a sheet pan and poke holes in the calzone. It helps steam escape during the cooking process. Bake it at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden color.
Enjoy the dish with marinara sauce!
