Boiled potatoes

  • 4 cupsof potatoes
  • 1/4 cupof salt


  1. Take a big pot, put potatoes in it and fill it with water so that potatoes are covered at least at inch. Add about a quarter cup of salt. Turn the heat up to high and cover a pot. Bring the water to a boil. When it is boiling, turn the heat down to medium-low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Check whether they are ready. If the knife slides in easily, then they are ready. If not, cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the potatoes from the water and set them aside to cool.
